Handwoven Nabakothi Khandua Ikat Pure Silk, the pride of Odisha is mainly woven in villages in Nuapatna and Maniabandha Blocks.
The term “Nabakothi” refers to the nine square motifs that are woven into the saree, each representing one of the nine numbers in Hindu mythology. The Anchal has Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra.
